exhaust manifold gasket change

i have a 2001 f150 4.6l 4x4 just wondering how big of a job it is to change out the exhaust manifold gaskets.passenger side leaking bad.drivers good

The passenger side will be the more difficult of the two, but do both if any. Just get some deep sockets, a swivel adapter, some extensions, and rust penetrate the day before.

When reassembling, loosely attach both the manifold bolts and collector flange bolts to hold everything in place. Torque the manifold bolts down first, this will prevent further leaks. Then lastly torque the collector flange bolts. New gaskets on each.

Might as well get headers while you are doing the job, lighter and easier to work with, more performance.
