I just bought a '97 F-150 w/4.2L. My truck doesn't have the owners manual does anyone know the oil capacity? I just put 5.5qts in of Synthetic and can't see it on the dipstick.
I am also reading 2 codes stating cylinder 1 and 4 misfire. Other than plugs what else should I replace.
My father had the truck for years so I know it was well cared for until he took ill a year or so ago.
Thanks for your replies

Sorry , to hear about the situation w/ your father.
I need more detailed info . age and/or miles of certain components, # octane fuel used, Incomplete fuel ignition could be fouled plug, bad wire, injector restriction, cumbustion chamber deposit buildup damaged or worn distributor cap /rotor which plugs used. When clearing up existing probs and preping for performance componant upgrades, the best plug to use is motorcraft basic coppor core. I'll get back to ya after work later
