confused F150 for Australia

Hello from Sydney Australia,
Can anybody help with information on getting a late model Ford 150supercab V8 auto to Australia. I am consulting the Authorities in Australia as to what is the best plan of attack. I have seen them available in the country but they are asking ridiculous amount of $$$$ eg $73000 for a 1999 model with 101279 miles...be serious. I would like to import a unit and do the right hook conversion. I have been told the mechanical specs are the same as the F250 series which is available in Australia
Anybody with any information?
