Question f150 problems

i have a 2000 f150 automatic 4x4 and the o/d light is flashing does anyone have any kind of idea why?

Hi
Sorry, but more than likely it's an indication of an auto gearbox problems. These could range from simple, like overheating (due to low on oil, leaks, blocked cooler) to something more complex like a solenoid or clutch failure. The only way to tell for sure is to get it scanned for codes, but be prepared, just in case it's bad news. If it needs to be replaced or overhauled it's going to be expensive. cheers
