Im Currently building a 79 I6 300 Motor, i have a 86 F-150 that it will be going into which also has a I6 300 Motor, now the 79 block has been bored 60 over, and i was wondering what performance parts i should put into it that will give it more hp and torq, but not kill all my MPG.
I have already started looking at a 4bbl intake and spilt 1 peice dual exhaust header for it, and possible a 450cfm holley 4 bbl carb. im going to reused the stock crank, only cuz ive known that they can be reused on motor builds up to the engine being bored 76 over.
I dont know if i reused the stock cam though, or oil pump, let alone the stock fuel pump. i dont think that the pumps will be able to keep up.
