have a 2002 ford f150 4x4 trying to replace fuel filter on frame

have a pop off tool but the filter is really on there
afraid to pull too hard
does filter easily come off or do i have a problem

yeah, they can be hard to get off. Make sure the tool is pressed all the way against the flange of the old filter. Also, it may help to take it out of the bracket. You do have to pull pretty hard sometimes, but it will come off. I've never broken a fuel line, just grab close to the filter when you pull, and make sure the tool stays close to the flange.
