Fuel Pump on 1977 f-100

Hi Fella's
Got a question,
I am working on a 1977 Ford F-100 it has a 302 it has been sitting for a couple year's. I have a fuel problem.
Tank does not have any rust in it (new Filter) all the line's are clear to the fuel pump.
Fired her up with fresh gas and it run down the road for about 5 mile's are so and it cut off. Checked out the firing it was Ok! Checked the fuel to the Carb. Nothing (Nada) so I go to town and get a New fuel Pump Put it on the truck. Fired her back up drove down the road a few mile's same thing Cut off.
Took line loose from carb. No Gas! gas is getting to the pump but not coming out. so My question is.
Could it be a worn Cam Lobe?
and if so could I take my welder and drop a small mound on top of the fuel pump lever?
Thank's for any help!

Re: Fuel Pump on 1977 f-100

Go get an electric fuel pump for it. It is sooo much easier to do.
