I guess I should'a been over here last time,, F-100----Duuuu! still trying 2 decide on "2 rebuild or new motor" ,I'm in no hurry! Hopefully "i'll accidentlly come across a 351 motor, that still runs, sitting in a barn,only 9 miles on it and the owner is just waiting for me to do him a favor & haul it off ", :) right now I'm just sand blasting a little hear ,a little there , just stoped in 2 BS. had to put a new master cylinder on it the other day, looked at the old one

! and don't think it was worth rebuilding. I have 2 check my brake lines ,pistons , "whole system now" I just assume that IT be work'in at peak performance, no matter what motor it has in it. its funny how everyone rebuilds their motor, changes oil,filters,plugs, even "smallest details" & never pays-any-attintion 2 the other parts,? that R just as important? I'll leave this open to anybody?......and any subject,obove^,........just stoped 2 BS.

We love BS. Just look at some of our threads (mainly my threads :s6:) I'm hoping someone will acidently leave a sweat ass F150 or lightning or BA or Mustang (so many iwould like to have) around just waiting for me to hop in and drive off in.

yea i agree brakes are good and i too have put them off to long.
just recently with over 150,000 on my truck i replaced the master cylinder and booster, front calipers, and rear wheel cylinders, but have yet to replace the lines.
go figure
sorry if you feel i twisted your arm but it wont hurt long.

you know the comment about the barn reminds me that i should go around and take an inventory of all the motors and parts i have laying around the county.
i do recall putting a 351w in my dads garage some time ago i also know there is a 4 bolt main 350 there.
but i have no idea what parts are still around.

4 bolt main 350? Good for a boat anchor anyway. It's a Chevy.

****((( I personaly "don't care" one way or another, If you looked at what I drive and own, I guess you'd say Chebby. Mostly because of simplicity and bad experiences when I was younger, with my buddys UGLY Stang, I guess if you think about it I can't even blame that. Because we had no biZns mes'N with any motor back then. )))))*******

I do know I just priced a motor ( 350 4-bolt main ) and if you even have a block ! I'd hang on to it . for some resone their prices are going up, I remember trading "a little 60$ jennings pistol" 4 a 4bolt main "running" !and that wasn't that long ago.,,, now they want 999.- for a rebuilt long block! 2 bolt! Gofigure?

Purple chickens- Theres a great topic, i've never seen a purple chicken but it would be good. maybe you can experiment. As you can see i'm limited in my thread making ability.

you already asked him that fool question and he replied that it wouldnt make much of a pic to post because of the condition.
well anyways i gotta comment on the 350 which by the way was one of the best motors built and i am glad to hear that the price of it is worth something as mine is a complete running specimen with a 280H cam.

i say if you are ready to b.s than we make it worth while and compare notes on previous experiences that way we might all learn something while we clog up lunatics HDD. he wants to get a bigger one anyway.

I have owned one Chevy in my life and that was enough for me. I did nothing but work on that thing. I spent more time and money on that truck in the 6 months I owned it than I have on all my Fords put together. There's a real life experience for you.
