Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

OK ,, I think we all agree, I'll keep thinking ,of something else?

And the learned to drive thang' ? ....... My first was a "old" full size jimmy w/a stick out in a big hay field when I was 13, 2nd was the '67 ford I'm workin on now.The first time wasn't to bad I already had enough time on the clutch, from a tractor hauling hay. But there was alot less "stress" with the jimmy :)

351w -what about 89F150 question? about a christmas gift for your truck? what one thing would you beg "santa" for?

And do you guys know anything about a couple of programs for a computer called " paint shop" or "CAD" . And if you do have you used them ? and any oppinions on which one I should get to play around with. I'm wanting to chop some cars up on my pooter, and play around with the colors. or do you guys know of something diffrent? " I've got "paint" & "photo shop", I want something diffrent? ??? ! ?" and should i get a "Wa-COM" laser pen ? if I'm going to do this?

old 67: 351 his chrissie idea was in the old "how ya doiing" thread
Photoshop is the best for doing stuff like that. I wouldn't use anything else. You just need to know how to use it. And i think a decent mouse is reasonable for all you need to do. If you have any questions with photochop, let me know because im pretty competent in it.

Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

89f150- I ate extra just for you!
and I found 351ws reply! " guess I missed it?"

photo shop?(photochop) "how do I use layers?" I think thats what I need to do to get past where I'm at? I'm trying to chop my 67, just to look. I can't add another pic to one I've already painted? I know it has some thing to do with layers, and when I try to erase something some times it says layer is locked, I unlock it but nothing changes? Oh ya " I'm using the same pixs, you guys have seen!" haven't gotten out much!

Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

What version are you using?
There should be an menu up top saying layers. In there should be new layer. Just drop in a new layer and you should be fine.

Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

yea i say stick with the photoshop as it is difficult enough to use.
if you go to the cad program you will really have a hand full to try and figure out what you are doing.
i have both but never use the cad program.

Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

That kind of summs up what I've heard! OK I'm using "6.0". and there are so many choices of layers ? ???? "I can cut the top off, and fill the back ground in." But then i can't get the next pix, to cover(or what ever you call it?) ,"insert" the new pix into the already existing pix ,,,,,(so I can just leave the top to shorten the "whole cab" ? ) thats the idea right? well I can't get it to do that it always says "layer is locked" even when I unlock it.??????

Sounds like my "351 mod." motor fell through! :( I talked to him today twice, "I guess he smart'ined up!( I should have had my brother go get it during the holiday, so he couldnt back out)" he started calling around asking about prices! So now he wants a trade worth, dame near what a new crate motor cost! " I don't blame him! " If my wife treated me like that ! " I'd be worried about look'n like an azz 2!" :D :D hahhaaaha I'll find a good deal somewhere, "I always do!" :)
Oh ya; I told him " good luck" ........but he still might come back?

well what are you guys doin?....(ME?) .since I have'nt relly been able to go out and do anything productive ! (I hate to say this but ,) My wife has been bringing home some bad azz "models" ( like cars!:) (not girls!) and I haven't buildt one of these thing since elementry school! But "Hell" I'm kind off liking it! " you guys play with these thing since you've gotten older? " You ought to see all the diffrent kinds they have! ................( I know ! I've got to much dame time on my hands! ) :D

anyway..........

Re: hay what's Do'N? again?

Is the layer that is "locked" your talking about the background layer. If its the background layer (original image) copy the layer and delete the image. Hope that helps.

I'm starting to get into remote control cars. I used to like macthbox cars. I have a fairly big collection of them.
