Have you found out a solution yet? I would really like to know.

When you say it does nothing, would that include the "service engine now" light when you first turn the Key on prior to trying to crank the engine? Do you hear any noises i.e. fuel pump?

Re: help with 99 F150

I had an '89 with a similar problem. On mine, there was a big aluminum braket behind the dash that more or less held the pedal assemblies in place. That bracket cracked, and wouldn't allow me to push the clutch in all the way, in turn not letting me start the truck because the clutch switch wasn't jiving with the pedal travel. Now I don't know what a '99 looks like under there, just something else to ponder.
