Hey guys, I'm new here, and I really don't know a thing about trucks. That being said, I want to put a 4 or 6'' lift kit on my '97 F-150. (4.6L V8, 206400 miles...I'll be 16 in December) So...what do I need to buy, and how much will it cost? I believe this truck is all stock. I know that I want:
-Like I said, a 4 or probably 6 inch lift
-Bigger tires and wheels
-Louder...

I really need some help, and If you would be willing to point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. By the way, I do not plan on installing the lift myself. We just don't have the right tools or even jack stands.

I really would like some simple suggestions. Who makes sells good lift kits like I described for a good price? Also, what about wheels and tires? How about making the truck louder?

You're going to be 16 in December?

You have better things to spend your money on besides lift kits for a 10 year old truck.

When something breaks on the truck have it fixed. That's all you have to do besides put gas in it, pay for the insurance, change the oil every 3000 miles.

Oh, yeah and drive it.
