Re: High Mileage F-150s

I have a late build '97 with the 5.4L and am at 200K miles right now. I finally had my alternator go out a week ago other than that nothing has broke.

Re: High Mileage F-150s

Well it's not and f150 but I had a 1989 f250 with just over 500,000 miles. Never touched the motor but almost everything else has been replaced multiple times.

Re: High Mileage F-150s

I just sold a '72 F-250, 390 that was nearing 300,000 miles. I bought it from my Father-In-Law in 1976. I now have a '90 F-150 4x4 and if I could have found enough stuff to make the '72 a 4x4, I'd still have it! The '90 is a lot more "flimsey" than the '72!

I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT!!

I had a '79 F250 4WD with a Torino GT 400cid engine that out-lived 5 cars. We put 250k mikles on it before a leaky gas line burned the truck up.

Re: High Mileage F-150s

I inherited my dads 1965 F100 with a 300-6 that had 311,000 miles on it and was still running great when I restored the truck and installed a 351W HO 4V engine with an over-drive automatic transmission.
