Question Hitch question?

My boyfriend and I are looking to move and renting a Uhaul. He is currently in Alaska and I have his truck.... he doesn't know the answer to this question and neither do I.

According to the DMV when I ran its VIN number, here is what we have:

VIN: 1FTRX14WX6KD16395

Year: 2006
Style/Body: Supercab
Make: Ford
Engine: 4.6L V8 EFI
Model: F150 STX /XL /XLT

I need to know what kind of hitch it has (that comes stock with it, we haven't done anything) so I know how big of a Uhaul trailer I can get.

Class 1 (2000 lbs)
Class 2 (3500 lbs)
or
Class 3+ (5000+ lbs)

Anyone who could help out would be greatly appreciated. I hate being your stereotypical girl that knows nothing about vehicles at all.

Thanks!

Re: Hitch question?

That truck even with a ball mounted directly to the bumper will pull anything U-Haul has with no problem. If it has a reciever hitch on it from the factory, all you need is the hitch and ball. U-Haul will be more than happy to set you up with whatever it is you need to pull a trailer.

The truck will pull anything U-Haul has with no problem. Get the 12 foot 2 axle trailer. You can cram a lot of stuff in it and they pull good. Good luck and be careful.
