Re: How cool is your truck?

'89F150 - Where did you find the photo's of CrushuF150? They don't appear in the truck gallery.
I've also been trying to figure out how to fit sub's to my truck for the stereo (which I haven't got yet) but being a single cab, there isn't a hell of a lot of room.
I'm still considering lowering instead of raising. My mate raised his '84 up 8" & found that getting trail bikes in & out of the back was too much trouble. It's for sale now too - $25000. He reckons that $70,000 has been spent on it.
Full custom interior, custom 4" polished alloy bar work, alloy wheels, new paint, 460 BB etc.

I wasn't doubting your coolness
I think it would be higher than 22. my little four banger with front wheel drive got 24. And that aint cool.

Most people go behind the seat, obviously. i think most go two 12's behind there along with amp. I'm not sure though. You'd have to go custom box though.

When are you going to do something about that 302, '89?
One question though, I read in another post that you are running 4.10 diff (pumpkin) ratio. Is this correct? And if so, what rev's do you pull at say 100 - 120kph?

Re: How cool is your truck?

Ive got 3 months holidays coming up, so im going to see if i can do something then. Exhaust and all that mentioned is coming but also looking into doing up my other 302 motor.

The 4.10s run around 2700 at 100 , in 5th (i think), 120 is getting into the 3000 range. This is with 29" wheels. Thinking of Going bigger at next tyre change so that should drop a bit.

Re: How cool is your truck?

'89 - Oh you must be running a 5 speed man box. I'm running a 3 speed auto with 3.5 diff ratio + 15/10R/31" tyres. I'm pulling 3200rpm at 120kph & just over 3000rpm at 100kph.
The reason I asked is that I want to up my diff ratio for quicker acceleration, but I don't really want to be pulling too many rpm's down the freeway. Still, this might slow me down as I do a lot of freeway klm's in this wonderfully overgoverned police state they call New South Wales.
