yea yea i know but thanks anyway !
i knew you were just jealous but now the truth comes out.
i didnt get any points for my stereo so it must have jipped me !

i got an alpine head unit and 2 alpine 4 channel amps.
an alpine passive 10 band equalizer with subwoofer controls and built in variable crossover.
i also have 2- 6 1/2" alpine 2ways in the doors and a set of 5 1/4" alpine components behind my head.
i have 2- 12" JL subs behind the seat in a custom sealed box.

why didnt i get any points for my stereo?
i think you guys gotta spot me about 20 points since i got ripped.

my smaller amp is 280 watts total power so i know i have more than 560 watts total.

Re: How cool is your truck?

i made a box that goes from pillar to pillar, from floor to almost the bottom of the rear window, in a wedge shape. the seat is hard up against it, but i pull the left one out for comps, and wind the drivers forward. i used 12" solobarics, as they are the biggest that would fit. the magnets are about 2mm off the rear of the box. the box is about 3 cubic feet.

Re: How cool is your truck?

same here for the box style.
i built my own wedge like yours but i didnt make it that big and it sets about 4 inches below the rear window and about 6 inches from each side.
the sealed boxes dont take as much cubic feet as a ported style but they also are tighter and tend to be not as loud.
with 2-12" subs in the little cab of my truck it is plenty loud enough for my ears though.
it will hurt your ears if you set in the cab with the volume pumped but i never had it tested for SPL.

Re: How cool is your truck?

My stereo system is a little too loud and rattles the doors a lot.

Re: How cool is your truck?

Should get some sound deadner to put inside the doors to help stop the rattle and also helps reduce road noise.

Re: How cool is your truck?

I also noticed when i rev the engine the alternator whine gets extremely loud, what do i do about this. It is only my amp that gets the whine, not my stereo.
