A little while back, I picked up a 1979 Ford F150 Ranger Supercab XLT (thats a lot of emblems!). It occurred to me that I have never seen this kind of truck in extended cab with a short box before, nor have I ever seen (or noticed) the XLT package on this kind of truck. Its got all sorts of goodies like tilt, cruise, air, and a whole lot more chrome than normal. Just because I haven't seen them certainly doesn't mean they aren't common though. Does anyone have any idea roughly how many of these were made?

This sort of truck is not uncommon. They were generally ordered by contractor's. The XLT option was usually not ordered thou.
