Hub Centric Wheels?

Someone told me my truck has hub centric wheels. And not the normal lug centric. Is that true it is a 2000 F250. Thanks.

Re: Hub Centric Wheels?

Hi sbrady88! I'll try to help - I have an F150 but it may be the same as the F250 in this case.
Yes, I have hub centric wheels. That means the rim is centered on the hub & the lug nuts simply hold the wheel on & don't center it.
I have lug nuts w/flat ends & not the tapered style. I would think that if you have the same type of lug nuts you also have hub centric wheels.
Hope this helps!

Re: Hub Centric Wheels?

I don't know how I missed this post.....but 4x4Cowlady is right on the money. Hubcentric simply means that the wheel centers itself by using the hub instead of the taper on the lug nuts. It's a much better system in my opinion.

Re: Hub Centric Wheels?

Look at the lug nuts. If they have a round surface where they contact the wheel then the wheel is most likely lugcentric.
