Intake routing help?
Ok, heres my situation. I have a 94 F-150 I put a 92 Stang 5.0 into.. The swap is now down to the little shyte before completion, and one of the little things I have to do is somehow route the intake tubing and I was hoping some folks here may have some suggestions for me.
My problem is, with the Mustang intake Im using my throttle body is in a totally different spot and facing a completely different direction. To make matters worse I have very very little room to do this. Let me try to explain (Id post a picture my digital camera is busted at the moment).
The throttle body sits about 2-1/2 inchs, maybe 3 from the the peice of plastic sticking out of the firewall that deals with my AC.. So I cant bend or remove it. I have to find some type of tubing flexible enough to basicly take a 90 degree turn in about 3 inchs of space. It has to mount to the throttle body then immediatly turn and come out towards the radiator where I have enough room to maneuver.
Now, I saw a picture of a NASCAR engine some time ago and it used a tubing that looked almost like the crap you use on the back of your dryer to attach it to the exhuast outlet on the wall. Of course it wasnt the same stuff, but if I could find the stuff they used in that NASCAR, Im thinking it would be flexible enough.. But, I dunno..
So, anyone have any suggestions? =]
