confused K&N cold air intake & engine fail-safe mode

Hi,

Last night I installed a K&n cold air intake on my 05 F-150 5.4L. Now it can hardly start, when it does it displays engine fail-safe mode and when you step on the gas the engine dies. Help please!

Kris;

It sounds like your MAF was installed backwards, not an uncommon mistake. Check it out and get back to us.
Or call 800-858-3333 (K&N Customer Service)

Ya turns out that was the problem, I did have a few beers while I was installing it. Next time I will pay more attention.
