kick down cable question

A buddy of mine just swapped his np435 out to a c-6 and needs a kick down cable. Anyone know of some type of easy rig for this? He has a 85 F150 that is EFI and really needs this. All the junkyards cut the cables when they remove the engines and all. Has anyone ever done this swap? Any info is greatly appeciated.
