Re: Lifted Or Lowered

Actually I prefer to see a real 4wd lifted, otherwise i like to see them lowered knowing they have a bit more grunt than stock!

Re: Lifted Or Lowered

Hey screw welcome back. heh

If I had to choose it would be dumped to the ground. If it is a true 4x4 then lifted would be great, but I still prefer the laying frame look.

Re: Lifted Or Lowered

I like lifted trucks, except when youre talking a fast truck, like a Lightning, which of course should be lowered.

Question Re: Lifted Or Lowered

ahh, finally, i've been trying to post on here.

but now i cant remember what i wanted to ask, i've got an 85 f-150 though, and i am in the process of buying all the crap to bag it..its 2wd, so i'm gonna drag it some, and just ride lower...after reading this poll, i've noticed a lot of you guys said lower it

now my question is, i race motocross, and i'll be pulling a 14' enclosed trailer every weekend, and sometimes a 24 footer, chances that the bags will blow? what are they, also, i'm certain i can set it up to where i can put in and out a coil springs in the rear, just for more support when towing, what are your opinions on that? i'm a first time suspension bagger, i'm just gonna get a 12 gal. tank, and i'm running a york ac compressor rather than a 450c thanks for any input

Re: Lifted Or Lowered

I;m uncertain about the bag systems but maybe someone else with experience can help. Also maybe start another thread so that its not hidden in here.

I suggest that you talk to Tony over at Air Ride Technologies or Jason over at Suicidedoors. Either will be able to tell you for certain with the setup that you have......I would not since I dont know the full setup. Are you running Firestone bags or some offshoot no name brand? What size bags, compressor, lines, etc are you running?

Also you have to remember that you will not have all the dead weight on the truck, just a portion of that trailers weight, since it is on a pivot point. Your bags should hold if you have a good set. Now I have seen bad ones blow out and it is pretty nasty looking when it happens.
