roll Need help identifying my Truck!

Hope You guys can help me, I bought a 1966 F-100 with a 360 engine in it. I looked up the vin # on the manual and it shows that Ford didn't start puting the 360 in F-100 until 1968, so now I'm having trouble looking up parts for my truck. The vin number is f10yr791457 and as I understand it the f10 is F-100 Y is a v8 352cid or v8 360cid and the rest is series #, I'm I reading this right?

Hope that helps.
