I was looking into getting a Hypertech Power Programmer III for a 2001 F-150 5.4L. I was wondering if anyone has used this to boost a 5.4L's performance. If someone can recommend a better product for increasing horsepower, fuel economy, and shift points, please do so.

There are many on the market. You can do a piggy back system or the programmer. If you do not plan on doing major modifications to your engine then go with the programmer. If you plan on adding headers, different cams, higher stall TC or internal changes then you will want a custom chip done.

But just to change FE, SP and increase a little HP then the HPP is good enough.
