Re-Fueling Issue

Well i ended up buying meself an '88 F150.. the 5.0L 5sp..

Anyway.. the very first issue i found was when i went to fill 'er up!!!

The pump just kept tripping and i wreckon i could urinate at a faster rate! It took like 15min to put 50L of juice into it.. i think it drinks more than that rate!

I have had a look and it seems the filling line is almost horizontal.. and then actually goes up a bit..

Someone has surely fixed this problem up.. So anyone got some proven ideas??

By the way it is a tray back not a well body
