confused scary steering

hey everyone im a newbie here so i hope you can help me out. I have an 02 supercrew 4x4 with some scary steering. Its only when im on the brakes slowing down from speeds above 40-45 and only at those speeds. When i get to 40-45 my front end has this shake and my steering wheel goes back and forth. I have replaced all my tie rods, hub bearings, and idler arm, just had an alignment, and balanced and rotated the tires. that helped a little but it is still there. Any suggestions?

Re: scary steering

Agree with rock31. Also make sure your rear brakes are working and not putting 100% of the load on the fronts.

Re: scary steering

Yep problem is most likely with the brakes. Warped rotors probably. They may need machining or replacement.
