Question Steering column

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the easiest way to remove a steering column from a 64 with a 3 on the tree shifter?
Mine is caked with 37 years worth of grime and I'm feeling lazy!
Go figure! I was hoping for some shortcuts. Thanks, Tim.

sterring column removal

If you are feeling lazy, then you may not want to read this. you will need to take the steering box off the frame and drop it down towards the ground as far as possible so the column can slide off the steering shaft without hitting the top of the headliner. This is the only part that isn't self explanitory. Told you that you wouldn't want to read this.
