towing numbers

how can i find out how much my truck can tow and haul? im going to be towing a 1969 mustang around and i only have a bumper hitch. does anyone know how the max tongue weight? its a 1995 f150 ext cab with the 5.8

I'm pretty sure the bumper max tongue weight is 500lbs.

You might want to invest in a receiver hitch.

I've got the same truck, plus automatic tranny and it's a 4x4.
1. If you've got an A.T., shut off the overdrive (button on the gear shifter), as there are only 2 clutches for the big hole.
2. You haven't stated what "class" your hich assembly is rated at.
3. As far as power goes, my truck "sings" with an extra load!!
Hope this helps. the only mod to my truck is a K&N air filter.
