Re: Trailer wiring problem.
It's normal for the lights to blink faster when hooked up to the trailer. The increased resistance of the extra turn signal bulb/bulbs being included in the circuit causes the flasher to blink faster. I carry two flashers just for that reason. One for normal driving and a slower blinking flasher for towing.
As far as the right turn signal not working, just trace the wire back until you find the problem. Since the other side flashes fine, it can't be a fuse so it has to be short in the wire or a bad connection at the back of the plug on your truck. A multimeter with a sharp probe should be all you need to find the problem. Trace the wire back, probing for voltage as you go, until you find battery voltage(with the brakes on of course). Do that, and you'll find your problem.
