Truck hopping when stopping

I have a 97 f150 4.6l 4x4 5-speed that hops when stopping but on sometimes it wont. I ve put new rotors and brake pads and checked rear drums and brakes which seem fine. Can anybody tell me what is wrong. Thanks Josh

Re: Truck hopping when stopping

ive had that problem before, have you checked the tires? they could be cupping which would make it bounce while you ride. when it was happening to me in my '88 f-150 it was the ball joints that were making it bounce.

Mine does it also, and it is definately the tires. I've got 35" Buckshots. Make sure they are inflated to MAX.

Re: Truck hopping when stopping

check your brakes too. i had to get mine turned because they were worn more in some spots. the guys at the shop said i probably had some grease on the rotors which make it not stop as good.
