I moved to Colorado a couple of years ago from Georgia and am wondering if there is anything I need to do to my truck to improve operation at altitude. During the winter it seems to take my truck forever to warm up. Would a "cooler" thermostat help? Also, I am not sure if there is any fuel/air mixture adjustment that may be needed, I figured the computer was taking care of that.
Anyway, if you have "altitude" tips that would be great. Thanks!
On some later models the computer can relearn the change, others it may be necessary to disconnect the battery for a bit then hook it up and immediately take a drive so the computer can learn the new settings. My guess is that you are alright. Maybe Thudpucker will chime in and give us some background. L8R 94460
