Turning vibration - Ford Forums

I have a 97 F-150 4.6L with rear drum brakes. When I make a turn, either direction the whole truck vibrates badly, it is also very loud. I did a full brake job and it is still there, I noticed my rear leaf springs are not straight, meaning they are not stacked right on top of eachother its like the bottom one is to the left a little and the other two are straight... is that normal, or could that be what makes the vibration. could they be moving when I turn? Thanks

no, the parking brake is normal

Its normal for the bottom spring to be off a bit. 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I would have the wheel bearings checked out. Jack the back up and put it in neutral. Turn the wheels and see if there is any noise. Use a bar under the tire to raise up and see if there is any play. Pull and push on the wheel and see if it moves in or out any.

Everything is good there, wheel bearings were recently checked, no play... im so lost.
