just an observation here for ya 89,
if your engine is exactly like the pic.
an electric fan on that radiator would give you about 30 - 35 more hp.
that perticular fan is one of the worst out there for robbing hp from the motor.

Yeah its the same except the brake res which is on the left of the engine bay. I was thinking of doing it after i get some wheels and doing some other stuff. It was way down the list of thiings to do but that 30-35 hp is pushing it further up now.

My filler neck isn't angled like yours, "89, (after market alloy radiator) but I've got the 2 pipes. The bottom one has been blocked off & the overflow bottle is attached to the top one.
As for the cooling fan, 351W, is that the 7 blade fan? I think it was released in Australia as a 'super cool' fan for air conditioned cars. I am running one of these as I was told that they were better than thermo fans. After reading previous posts though, I'm thinking about installing twin thermos to see how they go. My engine is a pretty well worked Clevo which does tend to run hot in hot weather, but you get that. Can only try it.

i had it off the other day but can't remember how many blades it had, i think it had five(?), i'll have to look.

yea most of the fans will have 5 blades but there are 7 blade designs out there on a few as well.
either design has been tested to require about 30 hp or more to run.
yea i know what your talkin about f100 with the heat i have the same issues and what i did was installed a 4 row alum rad and an electric fan. and on a 90+ degree day with the AC on i havent overheated yet.
and the day after i installed the fan i couldnt believe the power difference.
i notice it the most from a stop.

I have a 1993 F150 4X4 with 351W EFI. The small lines below the rad cap are (top to bottom) overflow can, intake plenum cooling exit. If you look at the back of the engine (above the bell housing) there should be a small line going into the intake plenum body (the large moulded piece on the top of the engine) from the cooling system. This provides a constant temperature for the air charge so the computer can mix the correct fuel amounts on an ongoing basis. This makes for supposedly better fuel economy and more even power.

I have the sdame thing buddy, and mine is connected to a t fitting on the small (3/4 or 5/8, not sure) heater core hose (the one directly off the water pump, not the therm housing). Oh yea, I have a I-6 300, and it may only be used on this motor, i'm not sure about the 8's. I know wich one your talking about.. right under the overflow hose RIGHT under.. same size (3/8" i think). Good luck man
