Re: What do you guys think?

i wasnt impressed with the ones i looked at 89.
$29 grand and the box wasnt big enough to haul my ATV unless i would have the tailgate down.

Re: What do you guys think?

That's what Ford wants....they want them to LOOK big. They're trying to give it more of a truck look compared to the earlier models with the soft contours.

I personally don't care for the looks of it. The bed side rails were raised 2-3 inches which makes the cab look too short for the truck and the bed is a little small for sure. It'll take some getting used to....but I think Ford is heading in the right direction.

The one thing that does impress me is the construction of the frame. Ford has completely boxed the frame in making it much stronger torsionally than conventional frame rails. The best-in-class 9900 lb towing capacity is also impressive for a 1/2 ton vehicle. I don't see them losing their spot as the number one selling truck.

Re: What do you guys think?

yes i agree they are a little higher on the sides and kinda square lookin so they appear big.
the engine also had some changes but i am not sure what all that involved something about boosting low end torque.
still after looking at them i cant see how they can be rated for 9900 lbs towing, thats about 2 times the weight of the truck to begin with.

Re: What do you guys think?

Yes, it generates more than 80% of it's 365 lb-ft of torque at only 1,000 rpm making it a great tow rig. I was very impressed by the numbers.

Re: What do you guys think?

Here's a good link with some photo's and some info on how they sneakily won that best in class tow rating they're so proud of. :-)

wow those numbers are awesome. What are the bigger super duty pickups doing.

Wish they had the F150 over here. Viper8, got any numbers on the BA Ute or the Courier. I think there the Vehicles, Ford Australia has filling the F150 market over here.
