I have a F150 w4.2 V6 I tow a trailer near the top of the trucks capacity. (5,000#). The truck has 100,000 miles on it, runs great, trans cooler, never runs hot. If I keep the oil changed, will towing kill it early, or is it "Ford Tough". Mike
You didn't say what gear ratio... leave it in 3rd and keep the revs up and breathe. Lugging can kill it. Otherwise if you can tow without having to get deep into the throttle you should be OK..
