Winter Driving
Hi,
I have a 2001 Escape 4X4 and a 85 Ford F150 4X4 with a 351 Cleveland Engine.I've recently moved to Northern Idaho.Looks like we might get a more serious winter this year than we had last year.People up here have an erratic driving style to put it mildly.
Actually to be honest I have never seen a place with worse drivers than up here in Coeur D'Alene, I constantly have to be expecting someone around me to to something stupid.
Now that winter is coming I'm feeling more vulnerable. What would be the better vehicle to drive in the winter, my Escape or the F150?I feel safe in the F150 because it is so massive and high on the other hand the Escape is more modern and is a frontwheel drive mainly I also have a set of studded tires for it,but if someone decides to run a stoplight and slam into me the studded tires wont help me much but more metal around me might.Given that both are 4X4s which one would be better in Icy and snowy conditions?
