does anyone have any projects for there trucks that there going to do over the winter? i plan on replacing the lifters in my 82 along with the oil pump. i'm also going to work on restoring my 63.

I plan on replacing the entire exhaust system on my 91 F-250. Most of it is rusted away already (MN/WI street salt). I'll probably go with Headers to boost the HP some. Cherry bomb Glasspacks for that rumble the cars of my youth had?!? :) Gotta find a set of Headers that have the O2 sensor holes..

Then, on to the parking brake cabling. It is also a victim of the salty streets here in MN. The only surviving piece of the PB system is the foot pedal inside the cab!!!

I've got to follow the rear fuel line back to the filter to see where it's crimped. It runs on the rear tank, just sputters when you try to accellerate. Everyone says its a constricted fuel line. I hope they're right!

I've already replaced the rear wiring harness to my taillights because of (you guessed it) salt damage. That was a 15 minute job once the taillight lenss were removed. A buddy of mine gave me a bedliner so before the weather turned ugly (it's 9 above here right now) I installed it and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

AH, something to do this winter? I've got plenty!!!

sounds like they use more salt where you live than they do in new england. i saw someone advertise collecters with the wholes for the o2 sensers in them. i'll look through my catalogs and see if i can find out who has them and i'll let you know.

You can always have the O2 bungs welded in the headers.

Well, We replaced the entire exhaust system yesterday (NOT including the manifold pipes to the collector). 2 trips to Checker Auto for clamps, hangars, pipe adaptors etc. and that was that!

I had been getting a Check engine light since I bought the truck 3 months ago and while underneath the beast I think I found the culprit! I happened to look at the front end of the driveshaft and noticed a wiring harness hanging dangerously close to the shaft. Upon further inspection I found the harness was RUBBING on the driveshaft and had severed 2 of the 4 wires in the harness! YEP, it was the O2 sensor harness (pulled codes, said o2 sensor lean). So off to the boneyard today to find another one!

good luck. sounds like a nice easy fix. with any luck after you replace the wires and clear the codes your light will be out.
