1995 Ford E250 Quote from Tires Plus - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hello,

I received a quote from Tires Plus for the following:

1) 305236 Auto Belt Tensioner---$121.63 in parts
2) Remove and Replace Serpentine Belt Tensioner--$63 in labor
****TOTAL: $184.63 plus tax.

**Why wouldn't they be replacing the serpentine belt? Does this mean that is ok? And what are your thoughts on this pricing....is this high or is this something I could do myself? I see the 305236 part is only about $50.00.

It's fairly easy to do those repairs. Get a Chilton or Haynes manual to refer to. Your local library might even have one.
