7.3l IDI FSS removal
Engine won't start. Engine has working glow plug circuit and turns over with no problems, no fuel getting to the injectors, fuel at the filter.
As this truck sat for a few years I suspect the FSS is not opening or the IP is plugged with gelled fuel.
I would like to inspect the FSS to see if it is plugged.
Can I pull the FSS off of the IP without pulling the IP from the engine? This is a van, kind of a pain to get to the IP.
If I have to pull the IP for service how is it timed to the rest of the engine? What must I be sure of when I reinstall it?
