99 E-350 superduty bucks and skips

Hello,

I have a 99 E-350 superduty with a 5.4l. It skips and bucks when I am going up big hills and/or pulling onto the highway. Pretty much everytime I have to get on the gas hard. I have taken it to 2 mechanics one of which was a dealer and no one can find anything wrong with it even though there is. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

If no code, check fuel pressure and vacuum. Could also be the initial stages of plugging cats.

there are no codes. At the dealership they ran all sorts of test and reprogrammed the computer and it is still bucking and skipping when you have to get on the gas to get up big hills or pulling onto the highway.

Does it feel like a misfire?

Maybe a second opinion. If you are able to duplicate for them I don't see why a good tech can't find any issues. Very difficult to tell without seeing some of the PCM data or driving.
