i have a 24ft 88 telstar rv built on an 88 ford e350 chassis with 460 fi engine, 66,000 miles no overdrive, gross weight 11,000 pounds

the unit has a pretty streamlined fiberglass body and runs pretty well..cruises easily at 65 mph on the level but lacks a bit of power on hills

it seems to averge about 7-9 mph, the exhaust smells rich and the tailpipe is always black inside

i have replaced the oxygen sensor and air pump

i am considering installing some sort of reprogramed chip, preferrably one that i can tune on the fly for hills, flatlands, etc

my main goal is to try to get better highway economy at light throttle on flat terrain..and possibly boost a bit on hills..but raw power isnt the main consideration as the unit seems to have adequate power now

does anyone have a recommendation for a chip conversion or programmer unit
