I have an E-Super Duty Motorhome chassis w/V-10 engine. Can I use E-85 fuel in the manufactured condition or will there have to be modifications to engine/fuel system?

Please don't use E85 in a vehicle not manufactured for it. The fuel system components are not designed to withstand the added corrosivity of the ethanol. Additionally, the fuel injecting programming is not set up to react to E85 and may cause some performance issues with running too lean/hot. Some have expressed concern that the use of E85 in other than flex fuel vehicles can permantly damage the catalytic converter. While I have never seen this, I suppose it could happen.

Why would you want to use E85 and get even worse mileage anyway? Your van has a very durable engine you can enjoy for many years if you watch the manufacturer's fuel recommendation.

Your vehicle will run fine on E10, which is sold in many parts of the country, and have only a 3 - 4 % fuel economy penalty.

I hope this helps.
