Brand new to this forum.
I have learned within the last half hour that my trusted 1993 E350 Club Wagon XLT has just put a rod through the case. Oil pressure went wild, and within seconds the case had a hole in it. At only 275k miles!
My question is - would it be prudent to replace the motor with a crate (or good used) motor, or is that putting good money after bad? The chassis is on fair condition, and the interior is great. I assume labor on replacing a van motor is high.
This van is used for transporting racing motorcycles, and although I can buy a good condition cargo van for about the same money as a crate motor, I do like the quiet ride, power windows, etc, etc this Club Wagon van offers.
Any advice appreciated.
