Hey gang!

So in the saga of B.S. that has culminated in my other threads, I now have my short bus back. So now I need to pull out the busted 351W that's in it and my original idea was to throw another one in there, as my buddy has one i can fix up and fit with the good parts from mine (cracked cylinder on mine, btw.)
Now I am thinking that maybe I should check out some of my other options...my real main concern being fuel economy, as I drive this thing long distances on tour with my band and the money we make at shows goes right into the tank...with 7 passengers and all of the gear (drums, amps, guitars) we were making barely 10 mpg.
What do you guys think?
Should I take this as an opportunity to do some Stan Meyer mod's? hahaha

unfortunately the 351W is not a good mileage engine. The fact you get 10MPG in a loaded bus is pretty good. I have the newer 351 injected engine in the 1/2 ton and it barely gets
12 MPG. You could install an R.V. cam but that will not give you fantastic mileage either
but could give you a bit more. I'd be looking for a diesel powered van but with the price of
diesel you could wipe out your gas savings. They get you coming or going. Good luck

haha geez they really do, don't they? I guess with that type of weight, it is what it is, huh? good thing about those Windsors is they are lasting beasts (sans a foreign object falling into them!) so maybe i'll just go with what i know. good old-fashioned carbureted block.
