I believe all that needs to be done is to find a local dyno shop, and get the vehicle professionally tuned. A custom tune will put the A/F ratio right where it's suppose to be throughout the power band. The only thing you may want to do is upgrade the injectors to 25lb/hr units just to be safe so there's no fuel starvation when you put the accelerator down. I believe the 5.4 came with 19-21lb/hr injectors at the factory.
