fuel injector problems...2001 7.3L DI

2001 E450 started developing intermittent(0-4 times a day) loss/lack of power(miss) at 85,000 after being on the road for 4-5 hours. Shut truck off and restart good to go. When truck returned to shop could not duplicate problem. At 87,000 duplicated problem, coded, cylinder contribution test #1 cylinder. Sent to dealer, replaced #1 injector under warranty. 1 week later same symptoms, sent to dealer, coded #5 injector and replaced. test drove and coded, #6 injector and replaced. We put the truck back on the road. OK until 112,000....same problem....after 4-5 hours loss of power, shut off and restart, it's ok. Very intermittent. Can't duplicate when it returns to base. we replace processor.....same problem. At 115,000 we replace ICP sensoe and IDM. Still same problem. At 117,000 we replace IPR. Still same problem. At 125,000 duplicated and coded #2 injector, replaced 5 injectors not yet changed. At 126,000 same problem, coded #6 injector. Now what???

I have heard of this problem before and it came down to a poor service record and bad fuel. When was the last time the engine had a tune-up? I am assuming your running the turbo 7.3 correct?These engine's require a tune-up also.Is the turbo waste gate sticking open? Are you replacing the fuel filter's on schedule? Air filter's? Do you have a water seperator?

yea i would have to guess the problem is related to dirt in the fuel system. we change our fuel filters every 1400 hrs of use. whick works out to be about every other month.

i would rather push my Ford than drive your Chevy !

Sorry for delay; been on vacation......Fuel filter is changed every 8,000 miles which is about every 600 hours. Fuel is pumped in-house every night. I have 25 trucks using same fuel, 4 of the trucks the sister to this problem child. Oil is changed every 3,000 miles, 15W-40 pennzoil.

boy i just dont know now because the filter changes are ok obviously.
how about this did you ever have oil samples sent out to be analyzed and if so was there anything odd.
is it possible that this single truck might have set somewhere and had the fuel contaminated.
water, sugar, or anything else funny in the fuel tank.
when someone puts macaroni and sugar in a fuel tank it messes stuff up pretty bad (previous experiences show)

i would rather push my Ford than drive your Chevy !

we have a program setup to send an oil sample from our deisel trucks every 200 hrs.

i would rather push my Ford than drive your Chevy !
