Ignition issue, 1992 E250

I have a 1992 E250 4.9L van. I just put in a new starter (although I am an advocate of if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it, I decided to do some preventative maintenance); everything seemed to OK, after I put the new starter in it fired up just fine. I let it run about 5 minutes, then shut it down. I tried to start it back up and the engine turns over but won’t start. I checked for spark and I don’t have it, but don’t see any loose wires or anything else. If I had dislodged any wires in the ignition while swapping out the starter (unlikely because none of these connections are anywhere near the starter) you would think it would not start up to begin with. Any ideas?

it may have been just a fluke that this no start happened after you changed the starter.Check the vitals, spark, fuel pressure at least and make sure both are there, and go from there.Did you remove the ECM fuse before working on the starter?
