OHMs what is the correct reading on COP's

I'm testing the coil On Plugs on my 2004 E150 4.6L and don't know what is the correct OHM readings and I don't have access to any Manual that will tell me. I have read that the following readings are correct on the primary side via the web.
1. 1.8
2. 1.9
3. .3 - 1.5
The one that I have tested (off of the engine) gives me a reading of 1.1 and sometimes 1.4.
I need to know what is the proper Primary and Secondary OHM reading, as well as what constitutes a bad COP and is it OK to test Primary while still on the engine. I also need to know how I test the secondary.
I want to let everyone know that I do search this Forum and other sources on the web before I make a post.

Re: OHMs what is the correct reading on COP's

I'll be honest that method will probably not give you the results your looking for. Typically we do a coil stress test with a scope to determine if they failed( honestly most times just gets a new one before I do this test). If your getting the typical misfire under load like at cruise and slightly getting into throttle or medium accel it is probably a coil. The reason that test isn't very accurate for those is because the coil can still function so electrically it still checks out.
