P0401/P0443

99 E150 5.4L... Got 2 new codes P0401/P0443... This Van has been nothing but trouble, any ideas? Thanks...

Ok I should edit this after a bit of cooling off time.

So we got the 2 new codes, the driving conditions are that anything over 50MPH causes the engine to "shake" occasionally, van starts and idles just fine, driving at slow speeds is good and almost smooth, but once I try to go up to normal highway speed that is when the "shaking" starts, some times is hard sometimes is a very light shaking almost unnoticeable... Once again thanks for the help I will go thru the links already provided to see if I can trace the problem.

Possible vacuum leak. Could just need replacing, the van's 15 years old.

For troubleshooting:
P0401 - OBD-II Trouble Code
P0443 Ford EVAP Purge Control Circuit OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com

Thanks, can someone please explain the term "pinging" it says here "In some cases, there may be performance problems, such as pinging on acceleration, when the engine is under load or when driving the vehicle at higher speeds"
