I hope someone can help me. I have a 2010 E150 Extended Cargo Van, Bought new from dealer.
I wanted to upgrade my stock AM-FM radio to the AM-FM-CD Ford radio, model- 9C2T-18C869-CB. Simple enough.
When I installed the upgrade radio, everything works fine. My issue is the indicator lights inside the radio. They stay on all the time. The lights I am speaking of are the dash lights that are on the dimmer circuit. This kills my battery in two days if I do not run the truck. My stock radio worked fine, lights worked. Is there internal wiring changes to the upgraded radio?Help

New information. It turns out, I recieved Radio Model Number-

BC3T-18C869-EF. This was out of a 2011 E-450 Scheduled to be converted to an Ambo. I cannot believe Ford does not have a configuration listing for all of its vehicles. The Ford radio tech guy told me he uses dealer stock vehicles to find configuration settings for programming. He advises me to find a 2010 with the same radio, I just installed, and copy the settings, Then pay him to reprogram the damm thing!

On going issue...Was able to obtain a ford programmer,
to install the new ACM. All works but I need the "As-Builts" from FORD. I cannot complete the install with out these. They give a website, but you have to be a Ford dealer to access it. HELP!

I obtained my as-Builts. Researched the web for a serial number of a van like mine with the new radio in it. Found one and programmed to match as- builts for it.

Done! finally. All works. What a pain. but,

worth the effort.

Glad you finally were able to get it going/ I'm not too much into radios. I rarely even turn mine on. Thanks for keeping us informed on your progress, I'm sure it'll help someone.
