1992 Ford Probe TCC locked up-how to disable lockup?

Hi all,
My daughter has a 1992 Probe with 2.2L 4spd auto, and torque converter is locked in drive. In rev. it works ok, but stalls the engine in drive. The codes from ecu are: 6 - VSS, 61 shift solenoid#2 , 62 shift solenoid #3, and 63 TCC locked. Would this possibly be just the VSS telling the tcc to lockup, as it thinks it is at speed, or is it something other than that, ie, a wiring short in the harness? Is there a connector on the transaxle that I can unplug that will disable the lockup converter? We need to get this going, as she needs this vehicle badly! Thanks in advance, and God Bless!

I don't have much experience with transmissions but I would think the VSS wouldn't have any effect on the TCC staying engaged. Here are some things that can cause it.

Main Control Drain back valve, torque converter clutch (TCC) and plunger stuck, damaged or assembled incorrectly

TCC solenoid malfunction

No. 7 ball incorrect seating

Gaskets damaged

Electrical inputs/outputs, vehicle wiring harnesses, PCM, torque converter
clutch (TCC) solenoid, TFT sensor
